Possessive Pronouns

Possessive Pronouns คือ คำสรรพนามที่แสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ แบ่งออกเป็น 2 รูป คือ

            1. Possessive Pronouns เป็นคำสรรพนามที่แสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ ตำแหน่งหน้าที่คล้ายกับคำนาม คือ อาจอยู่ในตำแหน่งประธานหรือกรรมก็ได้ ได้แก่ mine, yours, his, hers, theirs, ours, its

            ตัวอย่าง
                        This car is mine. That car is hers.
                        These are two books. Yours is red. Mine is blue.

            2. Possessive Adjectives คือ คำคุณศัพท์แสดงความเป็นเจ้าของคำนามนั้น จะวางไว้หน้าคำนามเสมอ ได้แก่ my, your, his, her, its, our, their 

            ตัวอย่าง
                        My mother has a lot of rings on her fingers.
                        Her cat has a black spot on its ears.

        Possessive Pronoun ใช้แทน Possessive Adjective (+Noun)
